Lisa is a photographer and art teacher based in New York City. For the past 18 years, she has taught visual arts to students aged 9 to 21 in both the Bronx, NY and Villanova, PA. In both her classroom and personal practice, Lisa sees art as a powerful tool for connection and inquiry—an invitation to explore ourselves and relate more deeply to others.
She finds joy in witnessing her students' creative processes unfold and takes pride in the moments they recognize their own voices through their work. Even after nearly two decades, she still feels lucky to make art alongside young people every day.
Rooted in the love and strength of the heart-filled Sicilian women who raised her, Lisa aims to brings that same spirit into her teaching, her art, and her parenting of her wildly joyful children.
