Lisa is a photographer and art teacher in New York City. For the past 14 years, she has taught visual art to students aged 9-21 in the Bronx, NY and Villanova, PA. In her classroom and her personal work, Lisa views art as a tool to connect, heal our pasts, challenge notions of beauty, and lift ourselves and others through expressing our authentic selves. She loves watching her students' creative processes unfold, and seeing them proud of what they make. She still can't believe she gets to make art with young people all day as her job.
She is proud to carry on the teachings of the heart-filled pack of Sicilian women who raised her, and to be the mother of a fierce and joyful 2 year old.
